Fizan is still a family owned business and have been manufacturing poles in Italy (just an hour from Venice) since 1947. They were in fact the first company to produce aluminium ski poles. While ski remains a large part of their business today they have also expanded into both trekking, trail running and nordic walking. They continue to be innovative in their design and try to lead rather than follow market trends. All of this with a mindfulness to the sustainability of the environment in which we get to enjoy the outdoors – for example their factory for the past decade has been over 60% self-sufficient through solar power.
