The Fire Maple Ash is an 8in titanium frying pan that weighs just 146g, light enough for backpacking when you fancy something better than boil-in-the-bag. Fry eggs, bacon, fish or pancakes on the trail without the weight of a steel or aluminium pan.

It holds up to 1 litre, so it doubles as a shallow pot, and it comes with a mesh storage bag. Titanium heats quickly in the centre, so keep the flame low and move the food around for even cooking.

FAQs

How do I stop food sticking to a titanium pan?

Use a little oil or butter, keep the flame low and keep the food moving. Titanium heats in hot spots, so high heat makes sticking more likely.

How much does it weigh?

Just 146g, which makes it one of the lightest ways to fry on the trail.

Which stove is best for a frying pan?

A stove with a wide burner and stable supports, such as a remote canister stove, spreads the heat better and holds the pan steady.
