Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On is a quick, easy spray-on waterproofer for wet weather gear. Its Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops as it air dries, so there is no need to tumble dry, which saves energy and protects older or more delicate garments from heat.
It is designed for breathable waterproof clothing, leaving a flexible water-repellent treatment on individual fibres so moisture vapour can still escape. Spraying lets you target the areas that need it most, such as elbows and seams, without affecting internal wicking liners.

Why water repellency matters
If the outer fabric of a jacket soaks up water, it can lose up to 70% of its breathability, leaving you damp inside. Keeping the DWR topped up keeps you comfortable.
How to use
Your raingear may be soaking up water simply because it is dirty. Clean it first with Nikwax Tech Wash. If the garment is fairly new, cleaning alone may revive the DWR. Once it has been well worn, spray on TX.Direct after cleaning and let it air dry.
