The UST Sparkie from Ultimate Survival Technologies is a compact fire starter you can use with one hand. That leaves your other hand free to shield your tinder from the wind or hold it in place.
It weighs less than one ounce, which is about a third of the weight and under half the volume of its bigger brother, the UST BlastMatch. A reconfigured striker tab enclosure and spark bar make it simple to use, and the rubberised grip wrap gives you control and comfort.
