The Flextail Tiny Sleeping Pad R09 is a seriously warm inflatable mat with an R-value of 9.4, enough for winter camping and frozen ground. Flextail rates it to -35°C. This is the large mummy version, 196cm long, and it weighs just 668g including its built-in pump.
The clever part is the pump. It's built into the pad's valve, so you don't need to blow it up by mouth or carry a separate pump. Switch it on and the mat inflates in about 60 seconds. Inside, five layers of aluminised film reflect your body heat back to you, and the C-shaped structure keeps the insulation stable through the night.
