The Opinel No 8 Black Oak is the black edition of the iconic Opinel knife. The blade and safety ring are given a PVD coating, which improves corrosion resistance and is safe for food contact. The varnished handle is oak from French forests.

The matt black blade
The black blade is more resistant to rust than a classic stainless blade, but more sensitive to scratching. Avoid abrasive products or scouring sponges when cleaning it.
Care tips
Wipe it clean and dry after use, and avoid long contact with acids, salt water or detergent.
