Stage one is a 0.1 micron hollow fibre membrane that removes protozoa, bacteria and microplastics. Stage two is a replaceable activated carbon pad that improves taste and reduces odour, turbidity and chlorine. Drinking from a fresh mountain stream? Leave the carbon out for the pure taste.
