DD Hammocks 6mm Cord is the rope DD recommend for suspending your tarp. The rope-weave nylon grips well on trees, which makes it a reliable go-to ridgeline, and it is just as handy for all sorts of other camp jobs.
Why 10 metres? DD find 6m is the happy minimum for pitching a tarp, which leaves you around 4m spare for a washing line, a mooring rope for your canoe or whatever else comes up.
