What Do I Need to Start Hammock Camping?

A basic hammock setup needs a hammock, a pair of tree straps and a tarp to keep the rain off. A popular starting point is the DD Camping Hammock with DD Tree Huggers, which also help protect tree bark, and a DD Tarp 3x3 overhead.

How Do I Stay Warm in a Hammock?

Your body weight compresses the insulation underneath you, so an underblanket is the key to staying warm in a hammock. Pair the DD Hammock Underblanket with a top layer such as the DD Hammock Quilt for a cosy setup. Some campers also use an inflatable mat like the DD SuperLight Inflatable Mat inside the hammock.

What Size Tarp Should I Choose?
