The Opinel stainless blade
Opinel's stainless steel is chosen for corrosion resistance and strength. It holds a sharp edge, resists wear and needs no special care in everyday use, though long contact with acid, salt water or detergent should be avoided.
The Virobloc safety ring
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc ring locks the blade open for safe use, and locks it closed for safe carrying.
Care tips
Wipe the blade dry after use and give the olive wood handle an occasional rub of oil to keep it looking its best.
Over 18s only. We will not sell knives to anyone under 18. Under UK law it is illegal to carry a lock knife, a fixed-blade knife, or a folding knife with a blade over 3 inches in public without good reason.
Ideal for
Gifts, picnics, camp kitchens, whittling and collectors.
