What's in the Opinel carbon steel gift set

  • Opinel No 8 carbon steel knife
  • 8.5cm high-carbon steel Yatagan blade
  • Tinted varnished beech handle
  • Virobloc safety ring
  • Brown leather Alpine sheath
  • Wooden presentation box with plexiglass cover

Carbon steel care tips

Carbon steel takes a very keen edge but can rust. Wipe the blade dry after use, give it a light coat of oil, and expect it to darken to a natural patina over time.

Over 18s only. We will not sell knives to anyone under 18. Under UK law it is illegal to carry a lock knife, a fixed-blade knife, or a folding knife with a blade over 3 inches in public without good reason.

Ideal for

Gifts, whittling, picnics and bushcraft.

Prefer stainless? See the Opinel No 8 Stainless Steel with Sheath. Keep it in shape with the Opinel maintenance kit, and browse the full Opinel range.
