We all need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and this new process does just that!
Sugarcane is grown to produce sugar, and normally the fibrous residue is treated as waste. We take that waste and allow it to ferment, which creates green eco-friendly ethanol. We then reuse the fibrous material, dry and compact it, and create biofuel bricks. Using these bricks to fuel two further processes, a plant-based plastic is created. This new material is lightweight, durable and dishwasher safe, and is made from plants, not fossil fuels.
