The Genesis Basecamp is Jetboil's stove for cooking for a group. It's a folding two-burner stove with a 5-litre pot and a 10-inch non-stick frying pan, and it all packs into one carry bag.
Each burner gives up to 10,000 BTU/h (3kW), and it boils a litre of water in the 5L FluxPot in about 3 minutes 15 seconds. The regulator keeps the flame steady as the gas runs low, and in cold weather down to about -6°C. A clip-on windscreen protects the flames on exposed pitches. You can also link it to other JetLink-compatible Jetboil stoves for more cooking space.

The Genesis suits car camping, festivals, campervans and base camps rather than the trail. For group cooking, Jetboil 450g Jetpower gas is the sensible size, and there's more choice in our camping gas canisters. Going solo? The Jetboil Flash is the lightweight option.
