Coghlan's Tinder Kit lets you start a fire without matches, even in wet weather. A waterproof plastic case holds eight pieces of waterproof tinder and a flint striker, and each piece burns for 5 to 7 minutes.
Each piece is made from cotton and paraffin wax and burns long enough to dry out damp kindling. The tinder is non-toxic and odourless, and the whole kit weighs 57g, so it fits easily into a survival tin or first-aid pouch. It suits wild campers, bushcraft hobbyists and anyone building an emergency kit.
