The Bushbox XL Titanium is Bushcraft Essentials' lightweight version of its XL folding stove, made in Germany. The body is grade 1 titanium, which keeps the stove to 430g. It folds flat to 1cm and opens out on its hinges in seconds.
Multi-fuel. Burn twigs, cones or charcoal, or use it as a windshield and stand for an alcohol burner such as a Trangia. It also takes Esbit tablets and fuel paste.
Stainless steel where it counts. The base plate and trivets are stainless steel, which resists warping under direct heat better than titanium. Bushcraft Essentials guarantees the hinges will never stick.
Group-sized. The chimney effect produces strong heat from little fuel, and the stove is sized for three or four people. The trivets let you set a burner at three different heights.
Leave No Trace. The enclosed firebox keeps the burn controlled, so you can cook on a small fire without damaging the ground.
It suits hikers, bikepackers and expedition groups who want a wood stove big enough to feed several people but light enough to carry. It runs without gas or electricity, which also makes it a useful emergency stove.
