The Fire Maple Mars Radiant Infrared Stove uses a porous burner to mix fuel and house the flame, producing both convective and radiant heat. A heat exchanger completely encloses the burner head, virtually eliminating the effects of wind.
With a pressure-regulator valve for maximum efficiency, it boils 0.5 litres of water in just 1 minute 40 seconds, using only 5.2g of gas (in Fire Maple lab tests with the Feast 2 pot). Because it produces radiant energy, it's also much quieter than conventional stoves.
