Jetpower is Jetboil's own gas, and the 230g canister is the best all-round size for weekends away and longer trips. It's a propane and isobutane blend: the propane keeps the pressure up in cold weather, and the isobutane keeps the flame steady as the canister empties.

One 230g canister boils roughly 24 litres of water, which is plenty of brews and meals for a long weekend for two. It screws onto any standard threaded gas stove, not just Jetboil.

Specifications

Gas 230 g propane/isobutane blend
Water boiled About 24 litres
Full weight 380 g
Size 11 x 10 cm
Fits Jetboil Flash, Zip, MiniMo, MicroMo, SuMo, MightyMo and other screw-thread stoves

The 230g canister may not fit inside every Jetboil pot. For packing inside a Flash or Stash, choose the 100g canister. Cooking for a group? The 450g canister lasts longer. When it's empty, the Jetboil CrunchIt lets you recycle it. See all camping gas canisters.

FAQs

Will Jetpower gas fit stoves from other brands?

Yes. It uses the standard screw-thread valve, so it fits most backpacking gas stoves, including MSR, Fire Maple, Soto and Primus.

How much water will a 230g canister boil?

About 24 litres, according to Jetboil. Cold weather and wind will reduce that, so take a spare on longer trips.

Can I recycle empty gas canisters?

Yes, once they are completely empty. The Jetboil CrunchIt tool safely punctures the canister so it can go in with metal recycling. Check your local council rules first.
