Look after your Opinel with Opinel’s own maintenance oil. It greases the blade and ferrule to keep them working smoothly, and nourishes wooden handles. It can also be used to care for wooden cutting boards.

Key features

  • Greases blades and ferrules
  • Nourishes wooden knife handles
  • Also suitable for wooden cutting boards
  • Easy to use with a cloth

How to use

Clean the knife and dry it with a soft, dry cloth. Put a few drops of oil on a cloth and rub it over the blade and ferrule. Wait until the blade is dry before closing the knife.

For the handle, apply a few drops of oil to a cloth and grease it evenly all over.

Ideal for

Owners of Opinel folding knives, especially wooden-handled models used outdoors, and anyone caring for wooden boards and utensils.

Tips

Oil your knife after cleaning, particularly after it has been used for food or in damp weather. Pair it with the Opinel sharpening steel or choose the complete Opinel maintenance kit. See the full Opinel range.
