What's in the Opinel maintenance kit
- 1 x whetstone from the Pyrenees for sharpening
- 1 x can of oil for lubricating and seasoning the whole knife
- 1 x 20 x 20cm microfibre cloth for wiping down

How to use it
Wet the stone, hold the blade at a low, steady angle and draw it across the stone, working evenly on both sides. Wipe the blade with the cloth, then add a drop of oil to the blade and Virobloc ring.
Tips
A few strokes little and often keeps an edge better than a big sharpening session. Carbon steel blades benefit most from regular oiling.
