The Bushbox Fuel Tray is a compact, flat fuel support designed for use in your hobo stove. It serves as a safe base for the clean combustion of solid fuel. As the fuel burns and liquefies, it remains securely in the tray, burning immediately and therefore more efficiently than without a base.
The Bushbox Fuel Tray prevents melting or crumbling fuel residue from dripping into the stove or onto the ground. It also provides additional protection for the surface underneath against heat. During longer burn times or when using multiple fuel tablets, the tray ensures greater control and cleanliness.
The Bushbox Fuel Tray is suitable for the original Bushbox, the Bushbox LF and the Bushbox XL (but not for the EDCBox Micro Stove, Bushbox Ultralight and Bushbox XXL+).
How it is used depends on the stove model:
- With the Bushbox, the tray is simply inserted into the stove from the top or from the front through the fuel opening and placed on the Bushbox base plate.
- With the Bushbox LF, the Universal Grate should be used and positioned at the half-hight position. If necessary, a small spacer (e.g. a piece of wood) can be used to reduce the distance between fuel and cookware.
- With the Bushbox XL, the Trivets are slid into the desired position at the side and the Fuel Tray is clamped between the Trivets.
Together with the stove and accessories, the Bushbox Fuel Tray fits into both our Outdoor Bag and our Leather Pouch.
For our Fuel Trays, we use metal components from the production of our Bushbox stoves that would otherwise remain unused. This helps conserve resources and reduce waste.
Tip: The Bushbox Fuel Tray can also be used as a small, fireproof base for preparing and igniting tinder, such as fine wood shavings.
